Acclaimed artistes, Paul Rivinius and Lena Neudauer, will be performing classical pieces in Pune

A classic dose of music

There is yet another treat for music lovers, this weekend. The Poona Music Society in association with Goethe Institute, Max Mueller Bhavan is organising Violin and Piano Recital, this Sunday. International artistes, Lena Neudauer and Paul Rivinius will be performing at the event.

The pianist, Paul Rivinius is an alumni of Munich College of Music and was a member of the German Federal Youth Orchestra and of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra under Claudio Abbado. Rivinius has been the pianist of the Mozart Piano Quartet, which has toured Europe, North and South America. He was teaching for many years as a professor of Chamber music at the Academy of Music Hanns Eisler Berlin and is now living as a freelance pianist in Munich.


On the other hand, violinist Lena Neudauer was born in Munich (Germany), has been playing the violin since the age of three and at the age of ten, she achieved the feat of performing her first concert with an orchestra.

Her debut CD on the Hänssler Classic label appeared in May 2010 presenting the complete works for violin and orchestra by Robert Schumann together with the German Radio Philharmonic Orchestra Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern under Pablo Gonzalez. She plays on a Lorenzo Guadagnini from 1743. It’s time to enjoy a musical night and witness world-class performances by the acclaimed artistes.
