Valentine's Day 2022: Looking for last-minute date ideas? Indulge in these activities together

Valentine’s Day is here and if you still don’t have a plan for the day, don’t fret, we have got you covered. Here is a list of fun activities which not only includes restaurant dining, but also other activities like art workshops, musical night and even watching a film on a rooftop within city limits

Why bring in celebrations early when you can make the most of Valentine’s Day even if it’s on a Monday? Surely many of you may have already celebrated it during the weekend, but indulging in fun-filled activities cannot be ruled out. Yes, reservations are going to be tough at restaurants but that doesn’t have to stop you from trying. Even if you are unsuccessful, there are still a lot of other activities to keep you and your partner or loved ones busy today. 


It is not only the city restaurants that are buzzing with activity but also other venues, which are hosting workshops, performances and movie nights. If you still don’t have a plan for the day, here are a few experiences you could try out to make the most of the day:  


Express with art
If you are looking to have a fun day with your partner, family or friends beyond the food, drink and gifting, head to Doolally Taproom for a Valentine Special Alcohol Ink workshop hosted by the Bombay Drawing Room. The two-hour workshop will be hosted by city-based artist Dhanashree Patil, who will teach participants how to create art by using alcohol inks, which can be taken home later. All those interested in attending the event are expected to wear masks and carry sanitizers along with them. All materials will be provided for the workshop.

Musical night
Miss going for live gigs? Skip the regular wine-and-dine for a night of music with Petula Rodericks & No Strings Attached, a five-piece city-based band performing at Hard Rock Café in Navi Mumbai. Known to play a wide variety of music from genres such as rock ‘n’ roll, jazz and retro, expect the band to get you grooving to their music all night.

Open-air movie night
Haven’t stepped into a theatre due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic? Here’s your chance to step out and go on a movie date but only this time, it is an open-air experience at Holiday Inn. Hosted by the Sunset Cinema Club on the rooftop of the hotel, two iconic movies will be screened at two different times on the night. While the first one is Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy-starrer ‘Before Sunrise’, the second one is Richard Gere and Julie Roberts-starrer ‘Pretty Woman’.

Laugh about love and breakups
Single this Valentine’s Day or looking to attend something fun with your date? Head to Tarang Studio for a Breakup Special – Valentine's Day Edition to listen to hilarious breakup stories. It is going to be a night filled with laughter as city-based comedians Andy Reghu, Chirag Panjwani, SonaliThakker, Devanshi Shah, Jeeya Sethi and Supriya Joshi attempt to tickle your funny bone.

Camping by the lake
City-based camping experience company Tents N’ Trails is hosting a Valentine’s Day special camping experience on the banks of the Adoshi lake near Mandad Atkargaon, two hours away from the city. Indulge in a candlelight dinner, sit by the bonfire, take a dip in the swimming pool or feast on unlimited BBQ and even watch a film – all of which and more are a part of the itinerary.

Cabana night
Believe in having a romantic candle-light dinner? The Resort is hosting an intimate meal for you and your partner to enjoy in a cabana-style setup. Brewing a good time 
Independence Brewing Company has a special Valentine’s Day menu all day today that includes specials like Norwegian Salmon and Chicken Liver that can be sipped on with beer or cocktails such as potent ‘Queen of Hearts’ and ‘Love Potion’. A meal is incomplete without dessert, especially if you have a sweet tooth. So, end your meal with a Dark Chocolate Stout Mousse or choose from other desserts available on the menu.
