House of Shops brings together puppetry, dance and music

A play titled House of Shops is a devised piece that was a part of the Bazaar Road Art series, that took place in Bandra last year. Created specially for children in the age group of 7 to 17, it promises to be a theatrical journey through the narrow winding lanes of Bazaar Road.

The plot involves characters like one-eyed butchers, green monsters, mandala dancers, graduate ‘limbo’ sellers and mask-wallah uncles.
The show brings together artistes practising different art forms such as photography, fine art, puppetry, dance and multi-media to create an ambience of rural India which is fast fading away from the city. Directed by Reshma Shetty, the play features artistes like Kunal Vijayakar, Arpit Singh, Aayushi Lahiri, Ashutosh Singh as well as Reshma Shetty.
