Zeenat Aman graces the set of 'Indian idol 12'

The veteran actress walks down memory lane in a special episode of Indian Idol, that celebrates 50 years of Zeenat Aman.

Indian Idol 12 will also celebrate 50 years of Zeenat Aman where the evergreen actor will be seen walking down memory lane as contestants sing some of her most memorable songs of that time.


Zeenat Aman bestows the title of 'Pahadi Boy with a Guitar' to Pawandeep Rajan
Pawandeep wonderfully sings Hum Tumhe Chahate Hain Aise and Ek Ajnabee Haseena Se. As a sweet moment, before starting the second song, he walks up to Zeenat Aman, removes a rose from his jacket and presents it to her. Happy with his performance, she tells Pawandeep that she loves the fact that he can play many instruments and calls him a genius. Proud of Pawandeep’s skill, Zeenat Aman then tells him during her time, she used to be known as ‘the girl with the guitar’ after the song Chura Liya Hai and soon Pawan will be known as the ‘Pahadi boy with the Guitar.’


It’s ‘makeover time’ for Arunita Kanjilal
Zeenat Aman will be seen in awe of Arunita’s beauty. Arunita who beautifully sings Panna Ki Tamanna and Do Lafzon Ki Hai wins Zeenat Aman’s heart where, Zeenat calls her a heroine. In a twist, Zeenat Aman wanted to give Arunita a makeover and soon, Arunita will be seen entering the stage in an elegant red gown. Everyone will be visibly shocked seeing her in a new avatar. Arunita is made to say a dialogue ‘Yeh ladki jungle Billi ki Tarah hai, khoobsurat Bhi our khatarnaak Bhi Aur Mujhe jungle biliyan bahaut pasand hai’ Zeenat Aman also narrates this dialogue with her.

Shanmukh Priya the ‘Baby Zeenat’
SMP dressed as Zeenat Aman sings Churaliya Hai Tumne Jo Dil Ko. Impressed by her performance and look, Zeenat Aman calls her Baby Zeenat and reveal that initially, she was given a salwar kameez to wear for this song but, she selected a costume of her choice which was actually designed by Zeenat Aman herself. The legendary actress was indeed always ahead of her time.

Zeenat Aman’s ‘gharelu’ fix Nihal Tauro’s memory
Nihal wins some wonderful praises from Zeenat Aman for his performance on songs Meri Soni, Meri Tamanna and Aise Na Mujhe Tum Dekho. But in a funny turn of events, Zeenat Aman reveals that she is aware of how bhullakad’ Nihal is. To provide a solution to his problem, Zeenat Aman gives him a jar which has a mixture of crushed makhanas, apricot, coconut and almonds and tells him to consume it with milk every morning and night to see the effects.

Danish Modh recreats Do Lafzon Ki Hai moment with Zeenat Aman
Danish Mohd who collected positive comments for his performance on the song Hai Agar Dushman make a request to Zeenat Aman. Danish mentions that apart from singing, he also enjoys enacting dialogues and would be honoured if Zeenat Ji could recreate the famous boat scene in Venice from the song Do Lafzon Ki Hai with him. Zeenat Ji obliges and both create a wonderful moment on set where Zeenat Aman will be seen narrating the dialogue from the song and Danish will be seen singing the lyrics. The highlight of the moment will be a boat and the backdrop of Venice giving the moment a perfect premise.
