Dheeraj Dhoopar is as popular among fans for his style statements, as he is for his hit show 'Kundali Bhagya'. The actor tells mid-day.com all about life off-set and his future projects.

Fans love your style statements…

Fashion is a very important part of my life. I don’t think I need to make any special effort, it comes naturally to me as I love fashion from the bottom of my heart. All I mean to say is that I don’t stress over looking good publicly, I go with my instinct and I end up getting noticed for my fashion. In fact, whenever I make an appearance in public, I start getting numerous messages from people asking me for style and fashion tips. I also get a lot of messages for my hairdo.

Any suggestions from fans that you incorporate in your 'Kundali Bhagya' character Karan Luthra or in personal life?

My fans are very special to me and they notice the minute things that even I may not know about myself. I interact with my fans to understand their views on certain things as an audience. They are very keen on my fashion sense and hairdo, so they keep asking me about my style and grooming regimen. Honestly, I have never come across any suggestions from my fans to be incorporated, but I understand their sensibilities and we are in sync with each other. But yes, I am open to their suggestions.

How do you like spending time off the sets?

I love to spend time with my wife Vinny and my pet Oreo. I hardly get any time with them and I make the most of any off days. We also actively plan our vacations so that we get more time together. Sometimes, we also spend time with my parents who live in Delhi and my in-laws who are in Mumbai. So that way any holiday that I get is spent with family.

What do you do to relax in the middle of hectic show shoots?

Shoots are hectic but I really enjoy them. Having said that, I usually relax by following a fitness regime every day. I plan things in a way that I make it a point to work out even during my shoot days. This helps me cut off from shooting and focus on something else. My shoots are never excessively hectic as they are pre- planned. This gives me a chance to have a socially active life too.

You are also known to be fond of travel. Which are your favourite Indian and international holiday destinations?

Every year, Vinny and I travel to various locations in India and abroad, which we really enjoy. Our favourite locations in India are Leh, Goa, Rajasthan, and if we go international then it would be Europe, South Africa and Maldives. We also have places like New Zealand, Iceland and north-east India in our bucket list.

Any plans of getting into OTT anytime soon?

Yes, of course! I'm in talks for a few projects, which may work out soon. Can't reveal the names at the moment but things are moving positively.

What is it that keeps you excited about playing Karan Luthra?

The character has a lot of variations and I feel I'm still exploring the character even more. It is a very real character and that makes it exciting. Also, the graph of the character has grown and it keeps growing every time. All these factors contribute towards Karan Luthra being a success.
