Child actor Aditi Jaltare essays the character of Ahilyabai Holkar in the show. She believes that while Ahilyabai Holkar had always been a remarkable person, it’s only after her marriage to Khande Rao, son of noble Subhedhar, Malhar Rao Holkar, did her life completely change. With the unwavering and unconditional support of her father-in-law, Malhar Rao Holkar, Ahilyabai set out to challenge the patriarchal society and shatter stereotypes, thereby creating history as one of the finest female rulers in Indian history. In the show, the wedding celebrations of Ahilya and Khande Rao are on the anvil and the makers have left no stone unturned to bring out the true essence in which weddings took place back then. Audience will be able to enjoy beautiful Maharashtrian rituals starting Feb 11.
