Madirakshi is in awe of her character's wedding dress and hence decided to add some personal touch to her look by calling in the jewellery from her home.

She also convinced the makers of the show to allow her to wear a personal piece of jewellery.

“This 'nathni' was worn by my grandmother and my mother on their respective weddings. It’s been in the family for generations now and I too will wear it on my wedding whenever it happens,” Madirakshi said in a statement.

“But since I am getting married on my show, I have especially called for the 'nathni' from Bhopal and will be wearing for Sita and Ram’s wedding on the show. I am glad I could add a personal touch to Sita’s character and glorify the look even further,” she added.

“Siya Ke Ram”, aired on Star Plus, is a unique presentation of Ramayana from Sita's perspective.

The show stars actor Ashish Sharma as Ram.
