'Uttaran' actress Rishina Kandhari wants a tattoo on her ankle
She may have played a devious and merciless character in the small screen show 'Uttaran', but in real life, TV actress Rishina Kandhari is quite the emotional kind. In fact, she shares a deep emotional bond with her two tattoos - the figure of a phoenix and a Guru Nanak quote.

She says, "I got a phoenix inked on my back in 2005 when I was a teenager. It stands for purity, renewal, strength, health and the present moment in time. Back then, it was more an act of rebellion. One day, I just went to Bandra and decided to get myself inked at a tattoo studio. The only problem was, I had no idea what I wanted. The tattoo artist asked me to close my eyes and touch a design. He said I should let the tattoo pick me up rather than the other way round. Looking back, I am happy that phoenix chose me.It is beautiful in white, red and yellow."
Rishina got her second tattoo done last year. "It is a Guru Nanak quote on virtuous conduct," she says.
Interestingly, the actress has not had enough of getting inked. "I want a tattoo on my ankle now," she says.
