If sources are to be believed, comedian-turned-actor Kapil Sharma has been advised bed rest for three weeks after he suffered a slip disc in the gym. He had been working out vigorously to lose flab for Abbas Mastan's 'Kis Kisko Pyar Karoon'.

A source says, "He was simultaneously shooting for the film and his comedy show on TV. As the pain got aggravated, his doctor strictly asked him to stay off work for a minimum of three weeks."

Yesterday morning, Kapil tweeted: "Hello friends. Hope All well .. But m not well.. advised for bed rest... Shooting last episode with @BeingSalmanKhan coming back soon (sic)." While Kapil could not be reached for comment, an insider says, "He will shoot with Salman today and then go out of action. It's not clear how the show will progress without him. The channel will take a call soon. He was advised rest long time ago, but continued shooting as the show requires long hours of work."

So will the show go off air? "Though a decision has not been taken, it might be suspended for a few weeks as they don’t have a bank of episodes," adds the source.

The channel spokesperson remained unavailable for comment.
