Speaking about her journey, Jiya said, "It took me 10 years to be where I am today so it wasn't an easy journey. I started acting because my mom asked me to give it a shot, then it grew on me. I was a super shy kid so it took me years to accept that I am an actor."

The actress is glad that even the non-Marathi speaking audience has been watching her film. "People have been telling me that thought they can't speak Marathi, they watched 'Ved' with subtitles and loved me. That means the world to me."

Sharing her future plans, Jiya added, "An actor never chooses where he wants to perform, everything is a stage, be it Hindi, Marathi Telugu or Tamil. I believe that every opportunity is big. I want to do Hollywood as well."
