Wrap it up with a romantic number

Love stories are quickly becoming Mrunal Thakur’s forte. After Sita Ramam (2022) and Hi Nanna (2023), the actor will now be seen romancing Vijay Deverakonda in The Family Star. While the makers have announced an April 5 release, we hear the leads have yet to shoot a song for Parasuram’s directorial venture. Thakur is expected to kick off the Telugu offering’s final leg in Chennai this week.

The director has apparently charted out a 10-day schedule, which begins with the filming of some talkie portions. A source tells us, “The makers are on a deadline. They have to can an important sequence featuring the leads, which is a dramatic high point in the narrative. After that, the team will move on to the filming of the song. While a part of the number will be canned at Marina beach, they also plan to capture some unseen locations of Tamil Nadu. The town of Kannapuram in Kerala is also on the itinerary.”

It will be a hectic month ahead for the unit as they race towards the finish line. The post-production team is simultaneously editing the movie. The source adds, “After he has wrapped up the shoot, the director will lock the final edit.”
