BTS's J-Hope is set to blow fans away once again as he prepares to release a physical version of his highly acclaimed solo album, 'Jack In The Box,' almost exactly one year after its initial digital release.

The surprise announcement came in the form of an official statement from BIGHIT MUSIC on July 17. The new edition, aptly named the Jack in The Box (HOPE Edition) will feature an array of exciting additions that were previously unavailable in the original digital or Weverse album versions.
Apart from the original tracks that garnered immense praise upon their release, "Jack In The Box (HOPE Edition)" will also include three live tracks, which were recorded during J-Hope's enthralling performances at Lollapalooza. Additionally, fans can look forward to two instrumental tracks that will undoubtedly showcase the sheer range of musicality of the album.
To further enhance the overall experience, the 'HOPE Edition' will be accompanied by an assortment of 'new photos and items' carefully curated to perfectly align with the version's distinct title.
Pre-orders for this highly anticipated edition will commence on July 17 at 11 a.m. KST, allowing fans to secure their copies ahead of the official release on August 18 at 1 p.m. KST.
BTS celebrated their 10th anniversary last month after the release of their album 'Proof,' which was a repackaged album that included era-defining songs from across their discography as well as 3 new songs. During the group's anniversary in June 2022, the BTS members acknowledged that being the global flagbearers for Kpop had inevitably taken its toll on them - and that they would be taking a hiatus to pursue personal musical projects and travels.
J-Hope was the first amongst the seven to release his solo album last year, which included charged tracks with a completely new sound like 'MORE' and 'Arson.' The latter especially, is arguably the most sinister as well as profound on the album. In the music video, J-Hope stumbles through flames before ultimately falling to the ground amidst a burning world, not in surrender but with a clear sense of purpose as he mutters 'Let's burn, it's done.' The album, in contrast to his peppy 'HOPE World' offered a completely new insight not just into J-Hope the artist, but the powerful evolving figure of Jung Hoseok and BTS themselves.
J-Hope also put on a solo show at Lollapalooza in Chicago almost immediately after the release.
Despite the artist currently serving in mandatory military duties, he is continuing to treat fans with new content and music! J-Hope will also feature in the next episode of Suga's talk show 'Suchitwa.'
