Theroux, 44, and the 45-year-old "Friends" star tied the knot earlier this month in a secret ceremony.
The actor of "The Leftovers" said he felt like a brand-new person after the wedding.
"It does feel different. I'm very happy. It's nice to be able to look down and see a new piece of jewelry on my finger," he said.
When Theroux returned to the set of "The Leftovers" in Austin after his honeymoon in Bora Bora, the cast and crew congratulated him on his wedding. They "gave me a big cheer so it was wonderful," he said.
Theroux arrived in Los Angeles on Monday, August 17. He was spotted without his wife who was thought to have arrived separately.
While passing through LAX Airport to catch a flight to Austin, the actor was spotted for the first time wearing his golden wedding ring.
