Law enforcement sources said the hate message might have led to White's suicide, reports tmz.com.

Her friends told the investigators that the late make-up artist received the message on her birthday. In the "hateful message", White's mother called her a "failure."

Multiple sources said that her break-up with Carrey, along with the message from her mother were likely the triggers for her suicide.

Some sources also revealed that White once attempted suicide before. She tried to end her life after the passing of her father in 2012.

According to a previous report, White, who committed suicide last week, was married to another man at the time of her death.

Details regarding the identity of White's husband have now been revealed. According to the estranged couple's marriage certificate, she was married to a man named Mark Burton when she died.

They tied the knot at a wedding chapel called Heavenly Bliss in Las Vegas in January 2013.
