Superman teaser trailer: James Gunn gives a sneak peek into the new era of DCU

The DC Studios has been the centre of infinite discussion over the past couple of years ever since James Gunn and Peter Safran took over the reins and made some very massive decisions. They revamped the wing as DCU and started fresh by discarding everything that came before it. The first project they chose to helm, with Gunn writing and directing, was Superman. This came right after they fired Henry Cavill from his Blue Boy Scout position, just a few weeks after he announced his return to the mantle. So, after a bunch of rumours, a whole lot of discussion, and a mountain full of curiosity, today is the day when James, Peter, and DC Studios have finally revealed the first official teaser trailer of Superman to the world. Superman Teaser Trailer Hits The Internet Superman stars David Corenswet as Superman and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. The movie will also feature Nicholas Hoult playing Lex Luthor and Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern. The first teaser trailer that dropped today is 2 minutes and 19 seconds long and opens with a glimpse of Superman crashing into a snow-clad mountain as we slowly zoom in to see him bleeding. The vulnerable moment then leads to a scene from the Daily Planet office, where we meet Brosnahan as Lois for the first time. The trailer progresses into establishing Clark Kent as the Beacon of Hope and Freedom. We meet Lex Luthor, who is already angry with the Blue Boy Scout, Hawkgirl in flight, and a whole lot of new characters. But the best of them all is the good boy that runs like thunder when Superman whistles, and it is none other than Krypto the Superdog. The teaser trailer is filled with drama but is very grounded and also hits the right chords. There is so much packed that it will take us a couple of days to decode everything. Check out the teaser trailer below. About Superman A new official synopsis for the movie was recently shared by the studio, and it reads, "Superman, DC Studios' first feature film to hit the big screen, is set to soar into theaters worldwide this summer from Warner Bros. Pictures. In his signature style, James Gunn takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC Universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor, and heart, delivering a Superman who's driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind." Superman, alongside David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan, also stars Nicholas Hoult, Isabela Merced, Frank Grillo, Alan Tudyk, Nathan Fillion, Skyler Gisondo, Jimmy Olsen, and an ensemble cast. Is Justin Bieber hurt by first love Selena Gomez's engagement to Benny Blanco?

Singer-songwriter Justin Bieber apparently seems to be ‘stung’ by the news of his first love, actress-singer Selena Gomez's engagement to American record producer and songwriter Benny Blanco. The ‘Let Me Love You’ singer dated Selena, 32, on and off from 2010 to 2018, reports ‘Mirror.co.uk’. The same year they split for the final time he moved on and walked down the aisle with model Hailey Baldwin, who he now shares four-month-old son Jack with. Though both seem happy with other partners these days, and Justin married someone else first, he is still said to have been left 'stung' by Selena's announcement and reportedly feels it officially marks the 'end of an era'. As per ‘Mirror.co.uk’, Benny, who has produced songs for both Selena and Justin, is thought to have got down on one knee back in August to pop the question to Selena after just over a year of dating. But the pair reportedly held off from going public with their news as it was the same month Justin and Hailey welcomed their first child. And Selena didn't want her engagement to be seen as 'turning the attention away from Justin's baby or to get one up on him'. Selena went public with her engagement a week ago by sharing a snap of her huge diamond ring, with her 423 million followers on Instagram. She captioned the post, "Forever begins now..." New dad Justin is said to hope Selena is 'happy'. Though he hasn't congratulated her publicly, a source told the Daily Mail, "Justin is married and has a kid. We all know that, but when he heard that Selena was engaged, he'll even admit it stung for a brief second. Because even though they will never be friends or date again or anything like that, it is officially the end of an era”. Benny and Selena have been dating since June 2023, but didn't confirm their romance until December of that year. This story has been sourced from a third party syndicated feed, agencies. Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse

Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse to not release in 2025

The final chapter in the Spider-Verse trilogy has hit a roadblock. The upcoming film titled 'Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-verse' will not be meeting its 2025 release date. The makers of the animated superhero film are eyeing a 2026 release for the film now.  The delayed release of Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-verse According to a report in the Deadline, Sony Pictures Animation has delayed the release of the film 'Spider-Man Beyond The Spider-Verse’. The makers have decided to dedicate more time on the quality of the film and it will be ready for its theatrical release only by 2026. Amid this, there were also some reports that claimed that the film might not even be released in 2026 and will potentially see a delay of 2-3 years. The reports claimed that the makers are facing creative issues and are yet to decide on how to end the three-part film series. Composer Pemberton cast doubt on the veracity of those reports and reportedly said, “Don’t really ever want to weigh in on this sort of stuff BUT would you ever believe there could sometimes be stuff on the internet that might not always be particularly accurate? Hmmmm…” His comments came amid a backdrop of conflicts between Sony and Spider-Verse creators Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Meanwhile, in August 2024, Karan Soni, the behind Pavitr Prabhakar, aka Spider-Man India, had shared an update on the status of the film. "That movie is deep in production. It's animation, so it's different and takes a long time. We'll see when it's ready and when it ends up coming out, but I'm really excited," he told Times of India. About Beyond The Verse The movie has Shameik Moore as Miles Morales. Hailee Steinfeld, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Vélez, Jake Johnson, Jason Schwartzman, Issa Rae, Karan Soni, Shea Whigham, Greta Lee, Daniel Kaluuya, Mahershala Ali, and Oscar Isaac are the other popular actors. Nicole Kidman almost quit Hollywood in 2008

Hollywood star Nicole Kidman shared that she almost left Hollywood for good in 2008. After moving to Nashville and giving birth to her first daughter with country superstar Keith Urban, the Academy Award-winning actress thought she was “pretty much done” with acting. She shared that she wanted to turn her full attention to her new family, reports ‘Variety’. However, her mother stepped in and urged her to keep going. The actress told CBS News. “When I gave birth to (Sunday Kidman-Urban), I was like, ‘Well, I think I’m pretty much done now'”. She further mentioned, “We were living on a farm, and that’s when my mother said, ‘I wouldn’t give up completely. Keep a finger sort of in it’. And I’m like, ‘No, no. I’m done now. I’m done’. She’s going, ‘Just listen to me. Keep moving forward. Not saying that you have to do it to the level you’ve been doing it, but I wouldn’t give it up completely’”. As per ‘Variety’, the actress took the advice to heart, and three years later, she scored her third Oscar nomination for her leading performance in ‘Rabbit Hole’. In the years to come, Kidman would star in ‘Just Go With It’, ‘Hemmingway & Gellhorn’, ‘Stoker’ and ‘The Railway Man’. “That came from a woman who was from a generation that didn’t have the opportunities that I had, that she had helped create for her daughters”, she added. “So that’s probably something that she wished she’d had when she was little”. The actress will soon star alongside Harris Dickinson in A24’s erotic thriller ‘Babygirl’. The film follows Romy (played by Nicole Kidman), a high-powered CEO who puts her career and family at risk when she becomes romantically involved with a much younger intern at her company. Will Smith asks fans to associating him with Sean Diddy Combs through memes

Will Smith has actively shut down the rumours which stated that he took part in Sean "Diddy" Combs "freak offs" gathering hosted by the rapper and music producer, reported The Hollywood Reporter. The 'Men In Black' actor, who recently traced back to his music roots, performed a concert in San Deigo on Friday when he asked his fans to stop associating him with Sean through memes. "The world we're in right now, it's really hard for y'all to like discern what's real and what's true, you know? And I've been seeing y'all memes and stuff. Some of that stuff is funny. Some of it's funny, but I haven't addressed any of this publicly, I just want to say this very clearly: I don't have anything to do with Puffy. So y'all can stop all those memes," said Will Smith as quoted by The Hollywood Reporter. He explained he doesn't usually address such activities publicly but with such rumours circulating he was compelled to address it. He also asked his fans to stop believing the baseless rumours. Sean "Diddy" Combs has been charged with sex trafficking and racketeering a day after federal agents arrested him in Manhattan. PEOPLE reported citing sources, that the music mogul was taken into custody on Monday (local time) following a grand jury's indictment, though the specific charges were not clear. As per the indictment obtained by PEOPLE, prosecutors accuse Sean "Diddy" Combs of forcing women to take part in "highly orchestrated performances" that he called "freak-offs." These "freak-offs" allegedly involved male sex workers, and prosecutors claim that Combs arranged for women and sex workers to be flown to his location, the report stated. The indictment also alleges that Combs made sure the women participated by giving them drugs, using his power over their careers, threatening to cut off financial support, and using violence and intimidation. The prosecutors say that since 2009, Combs assaulted several women. One incident in 2016, at a hotel in Los Angeles, allegedly involved Combs "kicking, dragging, and throwing a vase" at a woman. According to the indictment, this was caught on camera, and prosecutors claim Combs tried to bribe a hotel staff member to keep quiet. The third bail of Sean "Diddy" Combs has been denied bail by the third judge recently. This story has been sourced from a third party syndicated feed, agencies.
