Sanjay Dutt stepped out of his house and visited the legendary Gaitey Galaxy cinema to see the response of the audience for 'KGF: Chapter 2' and needless to say, it was thunderous. Everyone began to scream and tried their best to get a picture with the star.
‘K.G.F: Chapter 2’ has become the biggest Day-1 opener in history. Grossing close to 134 crore on its opening day, the magnum opus demolished all previous box office records and cemented its position as one of the biggest Indian films of all time.
The film made box office history in various markets becoming the highest ever Day-1 collection for a Hindi film, grossing Rs. 63.66 , highest ever opening in Karnataka for a Kannada film and highest ever Day 1 collection in Kerala for any Indian film. The net collections of the film (Hindi version) were given by trade analyst Taran Adarash.
Sanjay Dutt’s Adheera has been one of the talking points of KGF: Chapter 2. The actor, playing the ruthless antagonist, has locked horns with Yash in Prashanth Neel’s action thriller that released in cinemas on April 14.
Unlike his fans, who have stormed into the cinemas to watch the second instalment, Dutt reveals that daughter Iqra will skip the film. The 11-year-old has her reasons. “Iqra doesn’t watch movies where my character dies. Every time I sign a movie, her first question is, ‘Are you going to die in the film?’ Shahraan, on the other hand, is excited. I have been told that he is boasting about the film to his friends at school,” reveals Dutt.
