Murder Mubarak is set in an elite club in Delhi. The members of the club neither care for money or modesty
While the film is currently streaming on Netflix, the platform shared some BTS scenes from the making of the film
The actors seemed to have bonded and had some light-hearted moment as they created this dramatic murder mystery
But director Homi Adajania has also woven an unrequited love story in it. His win lies in the casting of Vijay Varma and Sara Ali Khan as the star-crossed lovers. For the director, it was important to bring two actors, who have not been seen together, and play on their chemistry
The set also saw some strong female presence as actors from different generations came together to be a part of a riveting story
Talking about his role, Pankaj Tripathi had said, "There were two factors that attracted me to the film: director Homi Adajania and this script. When producer Dinesh Vijan bought the rights to this book, he told me that he wants me to play a detective. My wife used to tell me that whenever I'll play the role of an investigator or a detective, I'll do a good job. When the producer said the same thing to me, I thought I must do this role. Bhavani Singh is not a detective but he tries to be one. Somewhere he tries to act like a detective and then his real instincts catch on. It's a very thin line."
Khan, who plays Bambi, a wealthy girl in town to Varma’s human rights activist Akash, credits her co-star and director for making it look so easy. “Working with Vijay was a privilege. He is an effortless actor and brings so much spontaneity to every scene. It wasn’t difficult to have chemistry with him because of the ease that Homi sir created on set
