Rakul Preet Singh wore a body-hugging striped dress as she arrived for the trailer launch of Marjaavaan at a popular multiplex in Juhu, Mumbai. Riteish Deshmukh will be seen as a vertically challenged man in Marjaavaan and he said at the trailer launch as an actor he is ready to experiment with all kinds of roles which may or not be his personality type. When asked why wasn't a dwarf actor roped in for the character as there is already a lack of representation on screen, Riteish said he "respects the view point." Riteish said, "As an actor when someone has approached me with a role, my job is only to see whether I'll be able to pull it off and if the directors and the producers have the confidence whether I'll be able to do justice to what's offered to me."
The three-minute-16-second trailer of the film which seems to be a sequel of the crime-thriller film 'Ek Villain' is high on action. Sidharth is playing the role of a rowdy, angry Raghu who walks around with a match-stick in his mouth and spouts some smart one-liners. Riteish who is back for revenge, promises to make Raghu's life hell.
It's for the first time that fans will see Sidharth Malhotra romancing Tara Sutaria who is playing of Zoya, and their chemistry in the trailer is unmatchable. Apart from the fist-clenching stunts and action sequences, the film also comprises of a special dance number by none other than gorgeous Rakul Preet Singh.
Sidharth Malhotra was thrilled when action-drama Marjaavaan came his way as the film gave him a chance to play a quintessential Hindi film hero for the first time in his career. Sidharth talking about it at the trailer launch said, "Every actor thinks before signing a film what he likes in it, what he wants from it. This film is an ode to all the heroes I have seen in Hindi movies and got inspired by their entry, the shot, the walk and the action. With this excitement, I entered the film."

Sidharth Malhotra said Milap believes in "the cinema we all grew up watching" which featured a strong hero. "A hero will enter like a hero, do action and 'dialoguebaazi' like a hero. I grew up on this cinema. For the first time in many years, I got a chance to play a hero like this."

Marjaavaan marks the second collaboration between Sidharth and Riteish after 'Ek Villain'. It is bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, and Krishan Kumar along with Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikhil Advani. The flick is slated to hit the theatres on November 8.
