Speaking of Marjaavaan, the film also stars Riteish Deshmukh, who is essaying the role of a vertically challenged antagonist whose height is just 3-feet while Sidharth will be seen as a rowdy, angry Raghu who walks around with a match-stick in his mouth and spouts some smart one-liners.
Tara Sutaria plays a mute character in the film, and speaking about the same, she said: "What really drew me to Marjaavaan and Zoya's character is the fact that she is actually mute."
Tara Sutaria further added: "So for the film, I actually learned sign language for a couple of months before, and it helped me a lot for the film. Besides, I think it is a beautiful way to communicate and will definitely use it in real life too when I travel."
In Marjaavaan, directed by Milap Zaveri, Riteish Deshmukh plays a dreaded dwarf who elicits fear merely by the mention of his name and Malhotra essays the role of a rugged gangster who locks horns with him.
For the unversed, Marjaavaan marks the second collaboration between Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh after Ek Villain. It is bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, and Krishan Kumar along with Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikhil Advani.
