Taapsee Pannu: Not so 'sasti', anymore

Kangana Ranaut, Taapsee Pannu and Anurag Kashyap,

On Saturday, Anurag Kashyap shared a picture with Taapsee Pannu on Instagram and wrote, “And we start Dobaaraa… with all our love to the haters.” Shooting for the sci-fi film was brought to a halt ever since there were tax raids in their respective homes and offices. Pannu also reacted to the raids in a series of tweets.

She wrote, “Three days of intense search of three things primarily...

 1. The keys of the ‘alleged’ bungalow that I apparently own in Paris... because summer holidays are around the corner.

2. The ‘alleged’ receipt worth Rs 5 crore to frame and keep for future pitching because I’ve been refused that money before.

 3. My memory of the 2013 raid that happened with me according to our honourable finance minister. PS: Not so ‘sasti’, anymore.”

For the unversed, Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel refers to Taapsee Pannu as a ‘sasti copy’ of Ranaut. Soon after her tweet, Ranaut reacted to the comment and said, “You will always remain sasti because you are sab rapists ka feminist... your ring master Kashyap was raided in 2013 as well as for tax chori....come clean on this.”

The I-T on Wednesday carried out massive operations against several Bollywood personalities, including Pannu, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl, Madhu Mantena and Phantom Films. The IT department searches were conducted at 28 locations in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and Hyderabad in connection with tax evasion running into crores.
