Given that his past two English singles have helped him clinch the MTV EMA award, it’s no surprise that Armaan Malik chose to stick to a genre that has served him well in the past. But what is worth noticing is the diversity that Malik has presented, even in his romantic numbers, across the years. If Control was best suited for the clubs, You’s ballad-like undertone made it apt for a variety of situations. His latest love song, Sleepless nights is in stark contrast to both these offerings. A perfect summer song (that releases in the monsoon), it is peppy and groovy, as it celebrates lovers who are simply happy to be in one another’s company.
