Actress Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul tied the knot on January 23, 2023. The couple had an intimate wedding ceremony at Suniel Shetty's farmhouse in Khandala. They had a wedding guest list of 70 people. The wedding was attended by close family and friends.

After the wedding, reports of the couple getting expensive luxury gifts started doing the rounds on the internet. It was reported that the couple got a house worth Rs. 50 crore, luxury cars, bikes, and watches, among others as wedding gifts from Bollywood celebrities and cricketers. However, a source close to the Shetty family has now dismissed the reports.
"All the reports published are absolutely baseless and not true about the gifts to Athiya Shetty & KL Rahul, we request the press fraternity to confirm details with us before publishing such incorrect information in the public domain please," shared Suniel Shetty's spokesperson.

On Monday after the ceremony, Athiya and Rahul took to their Instagram handle to share beautiful pictures from the ceremony. "In your light, I learn how to love…” Today, with our most loved ones, we got married in the home that’s given us immense joy and serenity. With a heart full of gratitude and love, we seek your blessings on this journey of togetherness," they wrote sharing the pictures.
