It takes years to create life-long bonds with strangers, but for Mrunal Thakur the process took just one shoot schedule. The actor, who has given hits including Super 30 and Toofaan, has begun shooting for Pippa directed by Raja Krishna Menon of Airlift fame.

Thakur will be seen playing the youngest sibling to Ishaan Khatter and Priyanshu Painyuli in the drama based on the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war. “Pippa is a special project. Getting to play the youngest sibling to Ishaan and Priyanshu [is kind of] a role reversal for me,” says the actor, who in real life is the eldest sister to siblings, Mandar and Lochan Thakur.
Hoping that the familial bond she felt on set transcends on the screen, she says, “Working on this film felt like I was around family. I was truly pampered on set. These bonds have surely been formed for life. I hope that reflects on screen and the audience enjoys watching the film.”
