On Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's 51st birthday today, mid-day gives fans an exclusive sneak-peek into writer Samar Khan's book 'SRK - 25 Years Of A Life' that captures King Khan's 25-year film journey.
The book has a personal note penned by Shah Rukh Khan, essays written by his film directors and illustrations of his iconic characters.
Here's an extract from Shah Rukh Khan's note in the book:
"After all these years, sometimes I'm not sure whether I gave form and shape to the characters I played or whether unwittingly give me more facets than there ever had existed. Whether it was a Rahul, Raj, Mohan or Aryan; each of them took a piece of me and departed, leaving behind a little of themselves."

Samar Khan is a journalist, filmmaker and now an author. Samar has directed two films including critically acclaimed film 'Shaurya' and also a documentary 'Living with a Super Star'.
