It's celebration time at the Ranauts. Kangana Ranaut's younger brother Aksht and his wife Ritu welcomed their child, a baby boy. The actress shared multiple pictures on her Instagram and welcomed her nephew. The baby is named Ashwatthama Ranaut.

Kangana, who got promoted to the position of an aunt, was emotional as she held baby Ashwatthama in her arms. Sharing pictures with her nephew, the doting aunt wrote, "Today on this blessed day our family is blessed with a child, my brother @aksht_ranaut and his wife @ritu_ranaut002 are blessed with a son. We have named Ashwatthama Ranaut this stunning and attractive boy. May you all bless our new family member, we share our infinite happiness with you all. Thankful to you. The Ranaut family."

The name Ashwatthama has significance in Hindu mythology. In Mahabharata, Ashwatthama is the son of guru Drona and Kripi. The grandson of the sage Bharadwaja, he ruled the northern region of Panchala with Ahichhatra as his capital, being subordinate to the rulers of Hastinapura.
Aksht tied the knot with Ritu in 2020. Kangana shared a picture with the newlyweds and wrote, "Welcome to our family Ritu (sic)."
Workwise, Kangana is gearing up for the release of Tejas. Produced by RSVP, the film is written and directed by Sarvesh Mewara and produced By Ronnie Screwvala. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on October 27, 2023.
