Have you heard? Sanjay Khan fails to recognise Preity Zinta

Sanjay Khan and Preity Zinta

Sanjay Khan apologised to Preity Zinta for not recognising her on a flight. He took to Twitter and said that “as a gentleman, it was his duty to plead forgiveness for his blunder.” The veteran actor-filmmaker did not acknowledge her while on a flight to Dubai. “Only if Zinta was uttered, I would have remembered you as I have seen many of your films with your beautiful face,” he added. A section of netizens said Khan shouldn’t have bothered as Zinta is too occupied with newborns, Jai and Gia, who she welcomed via surrogacy.

A day later, a mushy post

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Nonas

A day after she dropped Jonas from her name on social media handles, Priyanka Chopra, in a subtle manner, quashed rumours about her separation from singer husband Nick Jonas. Chatter about all not being well between them began circulating as netizens wondered what prompted PeeCee’s move. Though the reason behind the name change is still unclear, the actor put the buzz about their break-up to rest with a romantic comment on the singer’s latest Instagram post. He shared a video of himself performing bicep curls during a workout session. “Monday motivation. Let’s get it,” he captioned the post. PeeCee commented, “Damn... I just died in your arms.” She also added an emoji with heart eyes, another sweating and a third, a red heart. On Tuesday, PeeCee dropped the poster of her upcoming film, The Matrix Resurrections, which was appreciated by sister-in-law Danielle Jonas.

Parineeti Chopra with parents

On Tuesday, Parineeti Chopra shared pictures with parents, Pawan and Reena, to mark their 35th wedding anniversary. She wrote that despite coming from different worlds (her mom being an NRI from Kenya, and dad a small- town boy from Ambala), “they created their definition of  love, loyalty, understanding and friendship.” The actor added that they raised her and brothers, Sahaj and Shivang, “just like them... ambitious, kind and honest, and thanks for passing on your sense of humour.” Pari’s parents are based in Ambala.

Secret is out

Abhishek Bachchan and Agastya Nanda

Abhishek Bachchan’s nephew Agastya Nanda turned 21, and his dearest uncle let out a secret in his birthday greetings on Tuesday. “What a fine, kind, loving, responsible, protective and caring man you have grown to be. You officially are an adult now. Kindly stop taking mamu’s clothes and shoes and please buy your own now. Love you,” he posted. Aggie (as he is known) loves to raid Junior B’s wardrobe, especially his sweatshirts. Shweta Bachchan Nanda’s son is following in the footsteps of grandparents, Amitabh and Jaya, and uncle Abhishek. The buzz is that Zoya Akhtar’s desi version of the Archie comics will be his launchpad alongside Khushi Kapoor.

Inking her love

Kartik Aaryan

One of Kartik Aaryan’s fans tattooed his name and date of birth on her chest. On Monday, she was among those who turned up at his home to wish him on his 31st birthday. The actor, taken aback by the gesture, wondered if it was a permanent mark. When the fan replied in the affirmative, he expressed his gratitude.

Howdy y’all

Ananya Panday

Ananya Panday is living it up in Las Vegas where she is shooting for Liger: Saala Crossbreed with Vijay Deverakonda. She has been channelling her inner cowgirl, and a trip to Nevada is turning the dream into reality. Panday captioned the pictures, “Yay or neigh? Howdy rowdy.” Rowdy is a moniker given to Deverakonda by his fans and the South star even has a clothing brand by the same name.

Action mode

Tanishaa Mukerji

Tanishaa Mukerji makes a comeback with Code Name Abdul. Kajol’s sister took to Instagram and shared an update about the film. “The wait is over. See you in cinema halls on December 10, 2021,” she wrote. Directed by Eshwar Gunturu, the film revolves around a secret mission assigned to RAW. Mukerji headlines the project. “I have always done light, breezy films. Action is something that needs a whole new skill set. This was a preparation-intensive role,” she said.

There’s a reason to rejoice

Amitabh Bachchan and Pooja Hegde

Pooja Hegde fulfilled her dream to share screen space with Amitabh Bachchan. Posting a picture from the set, she wrote, “The man. The legend. Shooting with him is a dream. I can finally tick off my dream list,” she wrote. Big B earlier shared a collage of his look, which appears to be from a brand endorsement. Hegde did not reveal details. “Stay tuned for more,” she added.

Misusing name

Govinda

Govinda was shocked to see his name and photographs on event invites doing the rounds on social media. The organisers offered fans an opportunity to meet and dine with him on December 20 in Lucknow. It also contained information about how to book tickets. Govinda shared the details and warned fans that it is “fake” and not to fall prey to unscrupulous elements taking advantage of his name.
