Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga

Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s teaser of Animal is out, and while a major section of the audience is praising the film’s ethos, the other half is unhappy that Bollywood’s iconic romantic hero, Ranbir Kapoor, has donned an aggressive look. The film uses the daddy issues trope to set Ranbir’s aggression, but Vanga has been heavily critiqued for depicting antagonism gloriously. While it comes as no surprise from the Kabir Singh filmmaker, it is difficult to picture Ranbir with so much belligerence, no?

Parineeti Chopra isn’t exactly pleased with the news circulating in the media that she is moving base to Delhi. While the actor will spend time with her husband, Raghav Chadha, in the capital city, the suggestion that she won’t be in Mumbai to actively pick up projects has not helped her. She says that while her marriage is a priority, the industry should stop making it difficult for working female actors. She will be taking on projects with the same gusto as she always did, regardless of her location, and retain her Mumbai home.

It is confirmed that Prabhas’s Salaar: Part 1: Ceasefire will clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki in theatres on September 22. While Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki is an emotional comedy, also starring Vicky Kaushal, the Prashanth Neel directorial venture is an action thriller and has been long in the making. Only time will tell if this mega clash can be avoided or not.

After Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan featured in a jewellery ad together, industry is already talking about a film between the two stars. Rumours are rife that Dharmatic’s series on K3G spin-off, Poo Bani Parvati, is being discussed again in the corridors of the studio. A source says, “It’ll be interesting to see Kareena and Alia feature as two different versions of Poo. It is all just chatter so far because both have impending work, but a conversation might be resurrected soon.”
