Kartik Aaryan’s Captain India has run into trouble again. First announced in July 2021, the thriller drama was initially slated to roll under the direction of Hansal Mehta in the latter part of 2022. The film was reportedly delayed as the actor and the director couldn’t match their dates. Producers Ronnie Screwvala and Harman Baweja, who had deferred the production last month for Kartik and Hansal’s dates to coincide, have now put the movie indefinitely on the backburner. Talk in tinsel town is that the director has opted out due to a scheduling conflict. Sources say that Hansal has several projects lined up, in various stages of production. Since he hasn’t been able to commit the required time to Captain India, resulting in multiple delays of its production, he discussed his predicament with the producers and then mutually agreed to opt out. The producers are said to be in talks with Abhishek Kapoor to step in. However, Gattu, can begin shooting only after he wraps up his action film with Ajay Devgn.
Golden opportunity
Ekta Kapoor and Dibakar Banerjee will make an entry in the Bigg Boss house today and they come bearing gifts. While they will be seen promoting their upcoming film Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2—an anthology of three different stories united by a common aspect that will be revealed in the end, much like the 2010 instalment. The Bigg Boss contestants were given scripts from television shows and Ekta’s hit film Dream Girl (2019), to perform before the filmmakers. Impressed with Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia’s act Ekta and Dibakar offered her a pivotal role in LSD 2. Seems like Nimrit has already won.
