Deepika Padukone has winged her way to Hyderabad to shoot for Telugu director Nag Ashwin’s next. The multilingual—its working title is Project K—stars Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas. The sci-fi thriller is being shot at Ramoji Film City. Padukone was welcomed on the set with a traditional Kanchipattu saree, kumkum, haldi, bangles and flowers. The accompanying note read, “To the daughter of the South, who has been ruling hearts globally. To the princess of the nation, who is cherished as a treasure. Welcome home DP. Come, let’s conquer the world together.” South producer C Ashwini Dutt is backing the film as part of his banner, Vyjayanthi Movies’ golden jubilee celebrations.

Varun Dhawan’s wife Natasha Dalal will be seen on the reality show, Say Yes to the Dress India. The designer will help a bride realise her dream wedding attire. Dalal, who studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, will showcase her wedding collection. It marks her first outing in front of the camera. The web series is the desi version of the American show, Say Yes to the Dress.

Banno tera swagger singer Brijesh Shandilya turns rapper with Kheench te nach from the upcoming Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor-starrer Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui. He has rendered the track with Vishal Dadlani. “It was a special moment for me to sing alongside a composer and singer I admire. As I was experimenting with rap for the first time, it was challenging,” says Shandilya.

Farah Khan

Farah Khan, who helped raise funds for the treatment of Ayansh Madan, met the child and parents, Pravin and Vandana in New Delhi. The toddler is suffering from spinal muscular atrophy. She had donated Rs 12.5 lakh, which she won on Kaun Banega Crorepati 13, to help procure the required medical aid.

Bobby Deol has wrapped up the shoot of Prakash Jha’s Aashram. The shoot of the new season of the web series in Bhopal was marred by vandalism by right-wing groups who felt the storyline hurt religious sentiments. Deol plays a self-styled godman, whose ashram is a front for crimes.

Akshay Kumar won hearts by replying to a young fan who asked for a birthday wish from him. Palak Manglik tweeted, “I have been a huge fan for years, and your wishes will make my day.
