Among the many gifts that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt got post their wedding on Thursday (April 14), here’s probably the most unusual one. Two inseparable horses have been named Ranbir and Alia by Animal Rahat, a non-profit organisation that offers free aid for horses who pull carts or are used at weddings. While the mare was used for weddings, the stallion was being used to haul Victoria carriages at the Gateway of India. Naresh Upreti, COO of the organisation, says, “Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor chose to keep their big day horse-free. A wedding is a perfect occasion for anyone to spare a thought for and show love to all our fellow sentient beings.”

An expensive song for Pooja

It appears that for a number of our leading ladies, doing a special song in a south film fetches more moolah than doing a full feature in Bollywood. Ask Pooja Hegde, who has been signed on for a racy number in the Telugu film, F3: Fun and Frustration, starring Venkatesh Daggubati and Varun Tej. Apparently, she is being paid a fat sum of Rs 1.25 cr for a special dance number in the comedy drama that is a sequel to the 2019 hit, F2. Buzz is that the film’s producer Dil Raju convinced the Radhe Shyam actor to make a special appearance in F3. Interestingly, Pooja started learning Telugu as soon as she started working in  south films. Today, she can speak the language fluently and does her own dubbing.

Evergreen celebrations

The evergreen Jeetendra turned 80 last week (April 7) and celebrated the day with his family and friends. His best buddy of decades, Rakesh Roshan and close friend Prem Chopra joined the celebrations. Daughter Ekta Kapoor and son Tusshar, too, had some of their common friends like Neelam Kothari Soni, Anita Hassanandani and Shabina Khan, over for the party. “It was a nice intimate celebration. Since Jeetu ji, Rakesh ji and Prem ji have been friends for so many years, it was more like a family get together,” said a source.
