Dharmendra plays the role of Ranveer Singh's grandfather in Karan Johar's recently released film 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani'. Amid losing memory, his character keeps taking the name Jamini, a lady he met just a couple of times during his youth. Jamini is played by Shabana Azmi, who plays Alia Bhatt's grandmother in the film. Alia and Ranveer's characters meet which rekindles their love for each other. 


Shabana and Dharmendra also have a scene where they kiss each other on the lips as their family members look in astonishment, even Jaya Bachchan who plays Dharmendra's wife. Dharmendra is now fondly looking back at the memories he made during the shooting of the movie. He posted a memory from the set with Ranveer Singh, who plays the character of ‘Rocky Randhawa’- an eccentric Delhi boy. The picture included Dharmendra looking into his phone while Ranveer also was looking at his phone, seemingly engaged.
