To mark Earth Day today, Bhumi Pednekar kicks off a nationwide pre-owned clothing collection drive for climate warriors. It aims at putting the environment at the forefront while raising awareness and helping people understand how they can lead more climate-friendly lives.

The initiative involves buying a piece of pre-loved clothing and calculating the estimated water and carbon savings associated with it. “I will be giving pieces from my wardrobe a new life with you, and also launch the Dolce Environmental Footprint Calculator so you can see your real impact by choosing pre-loved,” says the actor and climate advocate.

On the work front, Bhumi Pednekar was shooting for Karan Johar-backed film Mr Lele in the city with actor Vicky Kaushal, who had also contracted the virus. Kaushal tested negative for COVID-19 on Friday. Mumbai reported 8,839 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, taking the tally to 5,61,998.
Bhumi, who was last seen in Amazon Prime's horror thriller Durgamati, will be soon seen in her upcoming rom-com drama Badhaai Do opposite Rajkummar Rao. The movie directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni is slated for a September release this year. Besides this, she also has Karan Johar's multi-starrer Takht in the pipeline.
