To celebrate actor Prabhas' birthday today, the makers of 'Adipurush' took to social media to share a new poster featuring the actor. Prabhas essays the role of Lord Ram, in the film which is a retelling of the Ramayan. The film directed by Om Raut also stars Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, and Sunny Singh.

The film's teaser was unveiled on October 2 on the bank of Sarayu in the holy land of Lord Ram, Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The teaser received mixed reactions as several pointed out the 'poor' VFX quality of the film and equated it to a cartoon. The film has also landed in legal trouble with certain communities taking objections against the representation of the characters in the movie.

The film is based on the Hindu epic Ramayana. Produced by T-Series Films and Retrophiles, the film features Prabhas as Lord Ram, while Kriti plays the role of Janaki (Sita). It also stars Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh and Sunny Singh as Lakshman.
'Adipurush' is a visual extravaganza slated to release on January 12, 2023, in IMAX and 3D. It will be released in theatres in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
