Buzz is that Saif Ali Khan is being approached to host the second season of Masterchef. The Chhote Nawab is being considered the ideal anchor of the show that celebrates food good food. And the actor-producer is known for his taste of good life.



Akshay Kumar hosted the last season reality cookery show. However, might not be able to do so due to a very busy 2011 schedule.

Says a source, "The channel feels that Saif has it in him. As he hails from a family of nawabs, good food has been a part and parcel of his life. And Akshay's busy calendar this year, does not leave him with time for the show."

B-stars on small screen
Adds the source, "With more and more B-Town stars doing television shows, the channel is roping in Saif. They feel he, too, should try his hand at the small screen."

Apparently, things are in the initials stages and only after the star has given his nod, a formal announcement will be made.

With channels offering mega bucks to the stars, the small screen appears to be an extremely viable option.
Last season, the channel felt Akki was the perfect choice as he has worked as a chef in Bangkok before he began his Bollywood innings.

The Khiladi has always reiterated that apart from action what he digs is cooking. As reported 'Akshay takes fear to a new level (Hitlist, June 3), the star stated, "Action and cooking are my passion.

That's the reason I do such shows. Daredevil stunts and cooking are things that gives me a high."
