If the Diwali party that Aamir Khan hosted at his residence in Bandra is anything to go by, the once-estranged brothers Aamir and Faisal, may be putting their troubled past behind them.

While the guest list of the party included the who's who of the industry like John Matthew, Raj Kumar Hirani, Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Kunal Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Anil Kapoor and lyricist Prasoon Joshi, apart from some of Aamir's school friends, what made the event special was the presence of Faisal and his wife.
According to a source, not just were Faisal and his wife present, the two stayed back till the next morning. He said, "The four of them (Aamir, his wife Kiran Rao, Faisal and his wife) chatted for hours and later played cards. All the guests were commenting on how comfortable the two brothers and their wives seemed together."
According to source, the initiative to bring the two brothers together was taken by Rao. "Aamir has asked Faisal and his wife to move back into his house so that the brothers can be closer with their mother," he said.
The brothers, who were once extremely close, with Aamir even trying to launch Faisal as a star with the film Mela in 2000, drifted apart later. Their relationship hit rock bottom, when Faisal, who reportedly suffers from schizophrenia, accused his brother in 2007 of working against his interests. The two are believed to be coming closer, ever since the death of their father Tahir Husain in 2010.
