We know how healthy eggs are. But they can do a lot for your skin too. So if you don't want to spend a fortune on your monthly facial, buy yourself a dozen eggs. Here are some natural beauty uses of eggs:
Clean your skin
Mix an egg well with a teaspoon of honey and olive oil. Apply the mixture on your face and neck and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with tepid water. Egg will tighten the pores and honey will act as a moisturiser for your skin. It is also effective in treating acne.
Tighten it up
Separate the egg white from the yolk. Beat it up a little and apply it directly to your skin. Leave it on for 15 minutes. Let it dry. Then wash it with warm water. The egg white prevents wrinkles, and tightens your skin.
Soothe irritations
An egg mask is ideal for irritated skin. If you have some eruptions on your face that are irritating or painful, spread an egg mask and it will immediately smoothen your skin. Egg contains amino acids that help in reduction of the inflammation.
Add shine to your tresses
The virtues of egg as a conditioner have been touted since ages. Whisk an egg yolk, add one-teaspoon olive oil and beat it again. Once frothy, add a cup of water and mix well. Now coat your hair with this mixture. Leave it on for 20 minutes and wash it off with cool water.
Hydrate your hair
Here's another egg mixture to moisturise your hair. Blend together one-teaspoon honey with half-a-teaspoon almond oil and one tablespoon yoghurt. Beat well till the mix is frothy. Apply it to your hair and wash it off after half-an-hour.
