Singer Suchitra Krishnamoorthi and filmmaker Shekhar Kapur's 16-year-old daughter, Kaveri, doesn't want to be known in the music circuit by her surname. She released her second single, Again, last year and is prepping for a new song with AR Rahman. The young singer is looking forward to her upcoming collaboration with English singer and social-media sensation, HRVY. Often hailed as the Justin Timberlake of UK, the artiste, 19, is known for melding pop with R&B.
"Since the power of social media is impeccable, collaborations of this nature will help me present my music before a wider audience. HRVY is an all-round entertainer. He can dance, act and sing," says Kaveri.
UK music label Virgin EMI Records is bringing the duo together. Tanaaz Bhatia, founder, Bottomline Media that handles marketing and alliances for the label, says, "After Kaveri's interaction with The Vamps [in 2016], I was impressed with her creative endowment. I felt she would complement HRVY's musical style. HRVY will visit India this month, and we hope to create a great music video with them."
