Singer Mamta Sharma has not received any formal training in music. And for the 'Fevicol Se' singer, learning came in the form of audio cassettes.

Having not received a formal training in music, I relied a lot on audio cassettes.

I used to listen to singers like Shamshaad Begum, Lataji and Ashaji. Even today, I spend hours singing their songs but I still manage to reach only 90 per cent of what they could with their voice.
