A brief interruption awaits rumoured lovebirds Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor, who are currently holidaying in Maldives.

Industry insiders suggest the actress has to be back in town for a day or two to honour her work commitment.

A source says, "They have taken a break from work to spend quality time together. Katrina has just wrapped up her shoot for 'Fitoor' and has some time in hand before flying to Cannes for her red ca pet debut. However, she will have to return to Mumbai tomorrow to shoot a commercial."

Kat is expected to join Ranbir back in Maldives by Saturday night and continue their holiday. Another source says, "Her dates for the ad shoot were locked in advance so she could not cancel it. She will fly out immediately after finishing her work."

Ranbir’s upcoming film 'Bombay Velvet' is set to release next month, but the actor is apparently "not required" to join the promotional campaign at this point of time.

"That is why he decided to make good use of his free time and unwind. He may start with the promotions in the beginning of next month," adds the source.
