He not only likes reading people, but books too. In fact, that's what the multi-talented Jaaved Jaaferi does in his free time. "I love to read about world affairs, not other people's affairs," says the actor with a laugh. In a rapid-fire interview, Jaaved tells CS about the literature that interests him:

The book I am currently reading...
Confessions Of An Economic Hitman by John Perkins. It's an eye opening account of how the USA took over the world economy and enslaved nations by manipulations, lies and deceit. Economic hit men (EHMs) are highly-paid professionals who cheat countries around the globe out of trillions of dollars. Their tools include fraudulent financial reports, rigged elections, payoffs, extortion, sex, and murder. They play a game that's as old as an empire, but one that has taken on new and terrifying dimensions during this time of globalisation. Subjects I love to read onu00a0-- World affairs, Islam, technology, science, comparative religion, audio/video equipment.

Favourite fictional character...u00a0
I read fiction very rarely, but I will go on to say that my most inspiring and loved book has been Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes.u00a0Quixote's bravery and chivalry charged with honesty and idealism takes him into territories where the so-called wise would fear to tread.

I would love to play the role of...u00a0
Sherlock Holmes and Don Quixote. Holmes is a legendary character with lots of attitude and style. It will be fun playing him.u00a0

In Non-Fiction I love to read...u00a0
The Quran (again and again and again) and magazines like Discovery, National Geographic, Readers Digest, Popular Science, Popular Mechanics, T3, Stuff, Tehelka, you name it.
