Mehta expressed his views after watching a presentation by Indiancine.ma -- an annotated online archive of Indian films. The online platform is intended to serve as a shared resource for film scholars and enthusiasts in India and beyond.
The “Aligarh” maker tweeted: “Delighted to see presentation by indiancine.ma, an outstanding digital archive that needs our support. Thank you Kiran Rao and Aamir Khan”.
In the past, veteran actor and filmmaker Kamal Haasan had also shared that there is a "need to grow a resource of passionate film archivists" in India.
