Freida Pinto is flying down for a one-day hush-hush trip from Los Angeles to shoot for Simi Garewal's new chat show Simi Selects India's Most Desirables tomorrow.
This is Simi's new TV show (after her trademark Rendezvous With Simi Garewal) that will be aired from May this year.
Freida Pinto will fly down from Los Angeles, where she is shooting for her film Immortals, to shoot for Simi's show.
A source said, "Freida is currently in LA shooting for fantasy-action-drama Immortals where she plays the role of the oracle priestess Phaedra.
She has never appeared on an Indian chat show before. Sheu00a0 agreed to come on the show after she heard the concept of the show from Simi."
The source added that it was quite a casting coup for Simi to convince Freida. "Freida has a tight schedule in LA.
She is flying down to the city today, will shoot for the show tomorrow and leave the same night for the USA.u00a0
A lot of people have asked Freida to appear on an Indian TV show before, but the only time she gave TV bytes was in Goa for the screening of her film, You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger directed by Woody Allen."
Colours for Simi
Simi will not be seen in her trademark dead white outfits on her new show. Her garments, designed by Anamika Khanna, will have traces of colour.
