According to the buzz, it is the same role that was initially offered to Rekha.

A source says, “There had been speculation that the makers were keen to team Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha together. Though the Big B is yet to confirm, Rekha is said to have refused the part. Now, the makers have approached Dimple. If things fall into place, they will be cast opposite each other.”

Earlier, there were rumours suggesting that Dimple has been offered the film and Sunny Deol might be paired with her.

However, as per the latest update, producer Firoz Nadiadwala and his team are in talks with Big B and want him on board.

“While Dimple is yet to sign on the dotted line, Naseeruddin Shah’s name has also come up in discussion if they fail to get a nod from Amitabh,” adds the informer.

While promoting her upcoming film What The Fish, Dimple said, “I’ve been offered the film, but I think the producers, and not me, should talk about it and make an official announcement on it.”

Bazmee and Nadiadwala remained unavailable for comment.u00a0
