Dilip Kumar will now feature on television! The thespian has been requested to feature in a reality drama on the small screen.

The yesteryear star has been approached to be part of Guinness World Records Ab India Todega.

As Dilip Kumar holds the record for winning the maximum number of awards by an Indian actor, the makers want him to be on board. The programme highlights Indians who want to set their own world records.

The desi version of the international show hosted by Preity Zinta and produced by Miditech is slated to air on Colors.

The makers of Guinness World Records have sent an official letter to the octogenarian requesting his august presence on the show.

His wife Saira Banu confirms, "Yes, we have received a letter. But we have not yet taken a decision. He has not done anything like this before or featured in a TV show. We will have to take into consideration how they will be going about it."

She adds, "Taking into consideration his health we will take a decision shortly and how things will be shot."
At his Bandra home, one room is full of the thespian's awards and trophies.

Says Saira, "He does have the honour of being the Indian actor to win maximum awards. God has been very kind to us.

But I have never sat and counted all his trophies. In fact when I got married, he told me he didn't remember where some of the awards had gone!

He keeps on gifting away things he has including his trophies!"

She adds, "Yusuf Saab has never been materialistic and hankered for awards. It's all God's grace." The thespian was a part of the film industry from the early '40s to the late '90s.

Autobiography in progress
Saira Banu is also working on an autobiography on Dilip Kumar. She is working on it and hopes to release it soon.
