Crack is Akki's next with Neeraj Pandey and Big B's answer had the audience exchange stares and smiles. When the same question was posed to director Anees Bazmee, he said, "The story moves forward for which only Amitabh Bachchan and Arjun Rampal’s characters were required and the other character dies in the first part."

Was Akshay approached for the film, he responded in the negative, adding that the actor is "very busy doing so many projects". Interestingly, Arshad Warsi has replaced Akshay in the sequel.
