However the movie was on the backburner as he got busy. First, with his production 3 Idiots and later with his protege Rajesh Mapuskar's film, Ferrari Ki Sawaari which goes on the floors soon.

But now Chopra is devoting all his attention to Broken Horses. Before leaving for Los Angeles for the pre-production, he stated, "I had diverted all my energies to Ferrari Ki Sawari.

But now I have commenced work on Broken Horses, and hope to get the ball rolling soon."

Last year, the producer-director had spent time in the US working on the script and scouting for locations.u00a0 But on his return to Mumbai he found himself yet again busy with Ferrari Ki Sawaari.
