A Jalandhar-based bodybuilder-turned-actor is trying to rope in the Hollywood star for his forthcoming Hindi film
You may not have heard of Varinder Singh Ghuman but he could well become the name behind one of the greatest imports in Indian cinema. Word is that talks are being held to convince Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger to appear in his upcoming action film titled Fateh — The Victory.

This development is a direct result of Schwarzenegger signing up Jalandhar-based Varinder as the face of his health products and food supplements in Asia. The endorsement deal apparently set the tone for a potential cinematic crossover.
The 28-year-old has met the Hollywood star thrice in the last two years. “We met two months ago in Spain to finalise the details. Since I grew up idolising him in my gym, I can’t describe how it feels to get in touch with him, shake hands, conduct meetings and conclude deals.
He’s such a warm guy,” the six-foot-three-inches hulk gushes. Also, this former Mr India is pretty confident that we’ll be seeing the former governor of California in a special appearance in the aforementioned film. “Talks are going on and hopefully he’ll agree to our idea of having him act in an Indian film for the very first time,” he adds.
Though Varinder recently made his debut in a Punjabi film playing the role of a bodybuilder, he is presently focusing on becoming Mr Olympia in the near future. “Arnold won the title seven times. I wish to bag it at least once!”
Ask him who he looks up to in Bollywood and pat comes his reply, “Salman Khan! I was introduced to him during the shooting of Dabanng. He was so down-to-earth and even asked me how I built my muscles,” he reminisces.
