Abhay Deol has commissioned an eco-friendly home on land he has purchased in Goa
Abhay Deol has purchased a one-acre land in north Goa to build his dream house an eco-friendly project. Construction begins soon; in a month's time.
A friend of the actor informs, "The land is on the side of a mountain, surrounded by greenery and has a great view."
He adds, "There will be four bedrooms, a living room and a dining room and an open kitchen. His master bedroom will be on the first floor with a terrace. A 22-seater private screening room is also on the cards."
The Deol boy has friends, architect couple Vishakha and Muninder Chowdhry designing his dream house. Reveals Muninder, "Abhay wants a house that incorporates environmentally sustainable design.
The construction will conform to LEED (see box) Platinum standards in its development."
Huge windows
What architectural style will be employed? "We won't be stylistically bound.
It will be a contemporary home, with materials, colours and accents that reflect Deol's personality in many ways. The house will have pitched and green roofs with huge windows for a lot of natural light."
What is Abhay bringing to the table, in terms of creative inputs? "A lot! He has an amazing taste and it's a joy to work with him."
