Hotels Khandala
Known for its sweeping landscapes and misty mountain summits, Khandala captivates anyone lucky enough to catch a glimpse. Monsoons within the Western Ghats always seem like an old secret that opens into life with the very first droplets of rain.

When I planned my recent visit, I knew it would be memorable, but I never thought the rain-soaked landscape would captivate me so much. And to top it all off, staying at Bloom Hotel one of the best hotels in Lonavala Khandala became the cherry on top of an already delightful monsoon adventure.
Waking Up to Nature's Canvas at Bloom
Imagine waking up to the soft patter of rain on the window, fresh mountain scents filling your room, and lush hills draped in mist stretching as far as one can see. That was how my mornings began at Bloom Hotel. This quaint little haven at the heart of Lonavala has rooms with the comfiest Cloud Beds™ that I have ever slept in. With a good night's rest, I was all geared up to explore the rain-soaked wonders of Khandala, armed with a warm cup of coffee from Bloom Cafe to kick-start the day.
The Enchanting Allure of Tiger Point
Tiger Point, a mere five-minute drive from Bloom, is said to be famous for its panorama views, which the monsoons take in. The clouds danced playfully, rolling over the emerald peaks, and the cascading waterfalls came alive, gushing with newfound energy. The air was crisp, with a cool smell of moist earth; the rocky track was worth every step. Standing at the edge as the mist closed in me, it felt like stepping into a painting.
Adventure and Quiet Moments at Khandala Ghat View Point
Another gem I stumbled upon was Khandala Ghat View Point. The rain made everything glisten. I could trace winding paths below, watching cars move around like little toys against the rain-washed landscape. It brought me back to the simplicity of moments spent in stillness.
Exploring the Charming Rusticness of Khandala
Since I had more of Khandala's rains to explore, I booked a cab, and a short drive led to the Wax Museum, an interesting diversion to pass the time indoors with excellent sculptures. I caught myself taking pictures almost wherever I turned. For thrill-seekers, Della Adventure Park was a few minutes away, ready for action and fun scenic rain-soaked landscapes.
Inviting Spaces at Bloom for Relaxation on a Rainy Day
Returning to the Bloom Hotel after a long day of work, the quirky chic décor of the hotel was a splash of colour, vibrantly contrasting the washed-out colours of the landscape outside. A perfect indoor activity hall, equipped with a pool table, foosball, and table tennis, was the perfect place to have an enjoyable time. The sound of rain on the roof and echoes of laughter filled the room as I started bonding with the people I met there. Dare I say, we had some pretty interesting conversations and matches.
Cozy Nights at Bloom
When one couldn’t find me in the silhouette of the faraway hills, whose tops were covered by clouds, I would spend the evenings at Bloom Hotel, which could only be used for unwinding in the clean swimming pool, where, on occasion, I was on the water's surface. One constant throughout my stay was the joy of a hearty dinner at Bloom Café. After a day of exploration, whenever I craved the comforts of home, I’d order a meal from the café and savour every bite it felt like a warm hug. The friendly and welcoming staff made the experience all the more special.
.A Goodbye with Monsoon Memories
As my days at one of the best hotels in Khandala were almost ending, I had a tinge of melancholy. The rains had made the region's beauty show a deeply moving and magical side. The icing on the cake is the experience of care taken and comfort bestowed upon the guests by the Bloom Hotel - Lonavala Khandala, right from the spic-and-span rooms to a welcoming ambience. It was like the perfect accompaniment for time.
As I packed my bags, taking one last look at the misty hills behind me, I knew it was more than a trip. It was an accumulation of memorable moments: the sight of rain running down Tiger Point, the taste of vada pav during the rain, quiet in hidden corners, and the comfort of Cloud Beds Bloom.
So, don't think twice about visiting Khandala. Let the rain guide your adventure and make Bloom Hotel your home base. As I did, you'll find where the magic truly begins.
