New Delhi (India): Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, is a very popular destination for travellers from all over the world. With its vibrant culture, delicious cuisine and stunning attractions, there’s honestly no shortage of things to do and see in Bangkok. But today, I’m here to spill some of my Unique Experiences that you totally shouldn’t miss!

1. Visit the Ladmayom Weekend Market-This colourful local market is one of Bangkok's most unique landmarks and for good reason. It’s a great way to experience Thailand’s delicious and diverse cuisine. From spicy papaya salad to authentic pad Thai, spicy curries to savoury noodles, and Fried Rice to dumplings, there are endless options to choose from. Be sure to try some of the local favourites like mango sticky rice, Pandan cakes, Sweet Thai crepe, Coconut rice dumplings, Mung bean candy and coconut ice cream for a taste of the city's sweet side. And last but not least, the fresh fruits and smoothies. The floating market is just adjacent to the Ladmayom Market and is quite the attraction. You can take a boat ride through the canals and savour some authentic Thai cuisine and buy other goods from the vendors in their boats.

2. Michelin Recommended meal on a Bus— A 90 min Thai Food Bus Tour that cruises through some significant landmarks, including Chinatown, Grand Palace, Wat Arun, etc., while serving you the best of local delicacies selected from many famous local restaurants and even Michelin recommended dishes. The double-decker bus is fully air-conditioned and very comfortable. You can simply sit in one place and enjoy your meal and learn about the city’s history, cuisine and culture along the way. Tuk-tuks are also a fun and exciting way to see the city, but trust me, this Thai Bus Food Tour is an experience that you’ll never forget!

3. Visit a Winery in Thailand- PB Valley in Khao Yei is a beautiful destination for all wine lovers! It’s a 2-hour long ride from Bangkok City and was established in 1989. Guided tours of the vineyards are available and prior booking is mandatory. You’ll get to learn about the history, various wine grapes, the winemaking process, etc on this tour. The winery also offers tastings of its wines, which is a must-try for any wine lover. The Great Hornbill Grill Restaurant inside the vineyard offers a gorgeous view with both indoor and outdoor seating. Strongly recommend having a meal at the restaurant!

4. Dine at Sirimahannop Ship-The Sirimahannop Ship is a beautiful and historic vessel that is permanently docked at Asiatique Riverfront in Bangkok, Thailand. The ship is a stunning example of Thai craftsmanship and design, with intricate carvings and decorations that showcase the country's rich cultural heritage. It will surely transport you to a vibrant world of mixology and gastronomy, with beverages infused with native woods and tropical fruits and a mouth-watering menu that showcases fresh local seafood and tapas-style plates. The stunning panoramic views of the Chao Phraya River and the Bangkok skyline are a bonus.

5. Speakeasy Bars-During the Prohibition era in the US, the sale, manufacture, and transportation of alcoholic beverages was considered illegal. But since there was a good demand for it, there were these secret bars that operated illegally, often in hidden locations such as basements or back rooms. They were called speakeasies because patrons had to speak quietly to avoid attracting attention from the police. Today, speakeasies are often associated with a sense of exclusivity and secrecy, and many modern bars in Bangkok have adopted the speakeasy-style as a way to create a unique atmosphere. These are a growing trend in Bangkok, with many hidden establishments popping up throughout the city. Some of the bars are hidden behind a small door and require a password to enter, giving it a true speakeasy feel. The drinks are unique, innovative and fantastic! Recommendations- Iron Balls Distillery, Rabbit Hole, Opium Bar, Asia Today Bar (Asia’s Top 50), Find the Locker Room and Mahaniyom Cocktail Bar.

Overall, Bangkok is a city that truly offers something for everyone! Whether you're interested in history, culture, food, or just exploring new places, Bangkok is sure to leave you with unforgettable memories!
